Just relocated back to the SFO area after spending 5 years in KL7..This was my 1st time as a rover in California and I had a great time working from 4 grids in Contra Costa County. Thanks to all who participated last weekend.

Wind speed gusts to 60mph on Mt. Diablo  Saturday and the buddipole and ELK fell over. After securing the 10ft mast, I was off and running agn.

ELK dualband 144/432, F6 kenwood ht with 12in whip for 223.5 fm, buddipole on 6m- all horizontal, ft-857.

No luck cq'ing 50.255mhz fsk441 via meteor (one quick q with WA6OSX though)-- so best dx was with the very popular stn K6NGN in cn81qr @ abt 268 miles.
