As usual, enjoyed operating the ARRL SKN event, this year using my recently restored Vibroplex 1956 Blue Racer bug (with plenty of speed weights) and my trusty 1939 Lightning bug.  I found the band conditions to be pretty good and worked the following SKN stations:  W6LFB, K5YAA, AC2C, WU0L, N4UOH, W8WL, AE7CG, N5XE, KA3P, N2CJ, KE7MFW, K9JM, and K6JJR.  Keys reported back this year included a few J-38s, a couple Bencher RJ-2s, a Ham Key straight key, and several Vibroplex bugs.   I enjoy restoring bugs so spent my QSOs discussing keys and enjoyed seeing several of the keys I worked in posted QRZ.COM pictures.  Best fist worked this year would be a tie between N5XE and K6JJR, both using Vibroplex bugs.  I'm so glad that the League included bugs into this event as its a joy to hear the various bugs on the air.  This event gives those old bugs a chance to ride the airwaves again.  Very73, Jim N6KZ
