07/13/2002 | N3AWS Moderate effort here in the 1 B 1 battery category. Used QRP Dupe for logging, but had a problem with it when it didn't want to credit my 6 meter QSOs. Had to edit the log, but no big deal to get it right. Used my Icom 706 MKIIG at 5 watts, 17 Amp'hr battery, 6 meter single element loop, and DWM Communications "Yo-Yo-Tenna Deluxe" for the low bands. Final tally:

40 meters 16 QSOs, 20 meters 23 Q's, 15 meters 4 Q's, 10 meters 8 Q's, and 6 meters 31 Q's.

Definitely need better antennas (or more height) for future efforts. As the sunspots decrease, 15 and 20 will become more important. -- N3AWS
