07/15/2002 | WD9EWK For the second year in a row, I went to Flagstaff AZ and operated from the picnic area at Fort Tuthill Park as a 1B, 1 op, 100% battery power effort. I had an FT-817, a dipole between a couple of trees, lots of battery power, and fun - even if it was just a Saturday operation until darkness. I'm going for 3 in a row in 2003, but I'm not sure if I will use the same location, or try something else - even Canada!
