07/16/2002 | W0QE Larry (W0QE) and I operated 2B from Broomfield, Colorado using multiband dipoles hung between trees, a six meter dipole atop a mast, and a ground mounted vertical. This was my first Field Day and I had a lot of fun (and learned a lot as well). Thanks to Larry's careful planning, there were no surprises and we started on time. Larry operated CW the entire time from his tent and I ran phone from my tent. In spite of the heat, we were able to stay awake and put in a pretty decent effort. We're looking forward to doing it again next year!
