WA5ZKP, WB5LYJ and I participated in Field Day 2016 from grid square DM65pv at 8,700 feet asl. Beautiful scenary, no bugs, fantastic weather, except for the last five minutes in the Contest when an intense electrical/ hail storm unloaded on us. The USFS Fire Suppression Team was camping 300 yards to the north of us.Temperature was 81 degrees F (daytime) and 50 degrees F at night. OCFD (aligned North to South) and a vertical antenna performed superbly. Talked to a few old friends at out of State Field Day sites. Heard a lot of young voices and YLs on SSB. Food was good (carne adovada, scrambled eggs with green chili and green chili stew). We can not wait until Field Day 2017. Does anyone know of a cure for Field Day withdrawel symptoms?  ;)
