Since we took 2015 off as a club activity, the Midway Amateur Radio Club W0KY (Kearney NE) regrouped for Field Day 2016 with a few changes.  After operating at Ft. Kearny State Park for a number of years, we moved this year's operation to the home QTH of Tom KC0WWQ, who was an awesome and gracious host.  With snacks on the table, water in the cooler, and grilled burgers for the picnic supper, we were well taken care of all throughout the exercise.

We ran 2A (SSB/CW) and had a good time at a relaxed pace, and we took many notes on what to do next year.  Preparation with creativity makes for some fun operating and interesting results, but with the goal of improvement ever before us.

Some rain came through on Saturday afternoon but with the stations under cover we stayed dry and welcomed the moisture.  Once it passed, we were blessed with a clear, cool evening and a nice day on Sunday to finish up our operation and tear down.   Looking forward to FD 2017!
