What a great experience it was to visit NE3MD, the Northeast Maryland Amateur Radio Contest Society, at Field Day this year!  I enjoyed operating CW alongside a great group of other fine operators.  One Phone and one CW station made up our 2A setup.  We managed 1297 Phone and 770 CW QSO’s, for a grand total of 2067 QSO’s! 

Of great surprise, given where we are in the sunspot cycle, was the opening on 10M.  The Phone station made over 260 QSO’s just on 10M! 

The N3FJP logging software proved to be rock solid!  Having both stations networked together was a great motivation tool, to keep the QSO rates high, as the Phone and CW station each tried to work more stations than the other.  It was a very friendly competition, and everyone had a great time.

Good comradery, lots of QSO’s, nearly achieved WAS, great food, and great weather.  What more could you ask for in a successful Field Day?
