2017 ARRL Field Day
This was a portable operation on Jelm Mountain in Wyoming, just north of the Colorado border, near Woods Landing Wyoming. This site was in a gap at 9,000 feet with drop-offs to the east and west. An 80 meter dipole, and a ZS6BKW were flown over the gap and a 20 meter vertical dipole was centered in the gap. Weather was clear and cool (getting into the mid-30's at night) and enough breeze to keep the mosquitos away when it was warmer. 1000 qso's were made at this site. SOTA Ring Mountain and Jelm Mountain were activated as well during our stay in this part of beautiful Wyoming.
