09/23/2017 | N2AMC This was my first time on the 1296 band in my 39 year ham career. I was running a 1296 transverter (20W out) that I recently purchased at a ham convention. It was driven by my old Yaesu FT-290 RII and a homebrew sequencer that I recently built. The antenna was a 45 element Directive Systems loop Yagi at 15 feet. I enjoyed building and setting up the equipment almost as much as making the contacts! -- N2AMC
