2017 ARRL 160 Meter Contest
Have to balance my time on the air with my wedding anniversary duties and this year was no exception.
Average propagation and lack of lightning activity in the US (no static crashes) made for a very plesant weekend of contesting. 728 QSOs, 76 multiplies which consisted of 71 ARRL/RAC sections and 5 DXCC countries, Score = 112,024 (single op, low power, not assisted category), 19.3 hours operating time.
Kenwood TS-180s running 100 watts, 68 foot base loaded vertical wire for TX antenna, 3 small pennant RX antennas for use when needed, and hi-per mite active audio filter (200 Hz bandwitdh).
Biggest surprise was call from EA7KW which was a great shot in the arm during the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Great fun working familiar calls, and looking forward to next years contest (as usual).
73,
