Instead of using my Healthkit HW-8 for SKN this year, I went hi-tech with my Elecraft KX3 to a KXPA100 amplifier and a Nye straight key.  Worked three SOTA activators: K0JQZ in CO and AE9Q in AZ on 20 meters and N7LP in AZ on 30 meters.  My “Most Interesting QSO” was in the last 30 minutes of UTC for 1 Jan 2018, where I had a nice chat with Allen VY1KX on 20 meters in Whitehorse, Yukon who was using a bug.
