After making emergency repairs to the window line feeding our 40 m vertical loop that were necessitated by a fallen pecan tree limb, and with my tools and ladder still scattered in the front yard, I rushed inside and was able to work KD7REM on 40 m just fifteen minutes before the end of SKN 2018.  In my haste, I used the trusty J-38 of my wife, KB0QJJ, because it was already wired to our TS-870S.  Hopefully, a recently acquired Junker D.B.G.M. will take center stage in SKN 2019!
