SS CW is THE CW Contest that separates the MEN from the Boys. It is the ultimate challenge for both man and machine. there is no other event that is so brutal on a radios receiver or a humans mind. It is quite common to still hear CW signals in your head hours after turning off the radio. This years event I wasn't at my best, suffering from being under the weather just beforehand. It was a struggle to keep my butt in the chair on Sunday when it was all tough going to find one more contact. With the recent events in the Carribean I never heard a KP4. Northnern NY was unusally absent as well denying me a sweep, something I have done for 10 yrs staight before. Station here was an old IC-746, AL-80B, 800W, 3ele 15M Yagi at 30ft, 3ele 20M Yagi at 43ft, 40M/80M Fan Inv Vee at 38FT. HP mini Desktop running N1MM+ under Windows 7 Biz Pro 64 and a homebrew CW Keying Interface.
