2018 ARRL June VHF Contest
Entered as Limited Rover. Activated 7 grids. 145 QSOs, 69 grids, and about a dozen explanations of what I was doing to passersby. Ran IC-9100 into 10-element 2m and 70 cm yagis and 6 meter stressed moxon. Antennas on a 25 foot push up mast. All contacts made while stopped and set up in the grid.
You can find my blog post at https://www.k5nd.net/2018/06/k5nd-r-in-arrl-june-2018-vhf-contest/ My summary: First June VHF contest as a rover. Route worked well. Good QSOs from contest stations. Heat burned me out. WSJT burned me up.
Thanks to everyone I worked and my apologies to the FT8 contacts that were messed up by the /R suffix, the NA VHF Contest Mode, and my poor button punching.
