06/24/2018 | N2DM Field Day, always a good time.N2DM was QRP running 2 watts to Pacific Antenna 40/20 meter trap dipole. Used sunny day 20 crappie pole as center support, and Small Wonder Labs (SWL) SW-40+ and FT-817nd rigs on gell cells batteries. 40 meters was band of choice. At end of test, 1:30pm EDT, I cruised 6 meters and found it open to south AL & Fla, and west Iowa. Me w/o an 6 mtr antenna!, bummer! Typical Central NY weather, GRAY, light rain, nothing severe.
