The DuPage Amateur Radio Club participated in another ARRL Field Day exercise in Wilder Park in Elmhurst IL. In keeping with the emergency prepardness aspect of Field Day, we ran a 7A operation making heavy use of CW and Digital modes. All stations ran off of generator, using mostly wire antennas.

Even though we had copius amounts of rain during the prior week and some standing water in Wilder Park, the weather, food and fellowship during the weekend were fantastic.

Quite a few park visitors toured the site and stopped by the information booth. (photo attached).
Visitors included our Central Division Director, Regional Prepardness Manager from The Red Cross, and even a member of State of Wisconsin Emergency Management who happened to be biking through the area.

Getting new members involved was a priority this year. Happy to say we had new voices on the air.
