12/22/2018 | K9MRI The EME contest was interesting and a lot of fun. Family commitments and weather conditions allowed only partial participation. The first weekend seemed to be very good conditions with many smaller stations worked, however, QSB effects sometimes made contacts a bit rough. I spent some time away from contest chasing 9N7AP in Nepal. I finally worked them and went back to the contest. Second portion of contest wasn't quite as good as 30 mph winds kept me from the contest for a while. I tried to work some CW and called several stations many times but conditions were one-sided . They just couldn't hear me so went back to digital modes, Looking forward to next years contest! -- K9MRI
