Welcome to the 2018-2019 contest season! A number of exciting events have been held over the past year, and to build on that excitement we have some program-enhancing updates just implemented, as well as some in store for the coming year.

Online certificates
By the time you read this, certificates for many recent contests over the past year are available online. This includes all events before 2018 ARRL DX (which will be available in mid September) and 2017 EME (still work in progress).  Certificates for all ARRL (and IARU HF) Contests held in the past year before 2018 ARRL DX (excepting the EME event) are available for download now.  Also, many event certificates are available going back over the past 10 years (or more). All events will have a PDF or JPG certificate image available for download via our web link at http://contests.arrl.org/certificates.php

NEW Contests Landing Page
http://contests.arrl.org/ is now your one-stop shop for all of your ARRL contest interests (eg, Log Uploader, Logs Received confirmations, Log Checking Reports {pending}, Online Certificates, Club Membership Eligibility files, etc). From here you can access everything from the starting bell of a contest to your post-event hard-fought certificate of accomplishment.

- Use the navigation tabs on the left to access information about specific contests.
- Use the tabs at the top to submit your log, manage your club's eligibility list, download your certificates and view other information for all contests.

As the portal is still under construction at this time, check back often - contest-related content is being added on a weekly basis.

HF Contest Log Deadlines pushed out to 7 Days
For the 2017-2018 contest season, ARRL HF Contest log deadlines were reduced to 5 days after the event. This significantly moved up our ability to release event results more timely. During the past season, some participant feedback suggested having a subsequent full weekend (7 days after event) to complete log reviews and web upload submissions would be helpful. As an additional 2-day window for log receipts would not have significant impact on log processing and post event result windows, we will extend the HF Log Deadlines that are currently at 5 days, to push them out to 7 days (1 week) after the end of an event (beginning with 2018 ARRL Sweepstakes).

Club Competition
The new toolset for clubs to comply with the Club Competition rules (as announced in 2016) has been fully implemented. Automations now report eligibility based on club member call/grid inclusion in the club Eligibility Lists, and based club member’s locations within club territories. For more information see http://contest-clubs.arrl.org/ (for discussion on the club membership-eligibility lists and requirements see on that page the tab at upper left "Contest Club Tools")

Electronic log formats for ARRL 10 GHz & Up Contest – ARRL International EME Contest
As this is going to press, we are testing the ARRL’s contest log web uploader for these events where we have not had Cabrillo options previously.  Watch for updates.

Collegiate Championship Challenge
In early 2018, through NCJ and January's NAQP, the Collegiate Championship Challenge got off to a fine start with efforts led by Craig, K9CT and the Society of Midwest Contesters. See https://www.w9smc.com/nacc/  and https://www.facebook.com/groups/ARRLCARI/  for more details.
