I am brand new to the HAM world and see hundreds of radios available for sale - but they mostly seem to focus on a specific (narrow) band. are there any radios (transceivers) that operate on all (or perhaps a majority) of bands? It seems more efficient to have one radio that covers a large portion of the bands than to have 20 radios all tuned to one small area. [altho I suspect you can't have one antennae that covers all the bands - so perhaps that's a limiting requirement?] thanks, |
