Great Contest!! The highest score I ever made in the September VHF QSO Party. I believe it also sets a new record for NNJ in the SOLP Class.

Once again, I operated from Highpoint State Park, NJ. (FN21qh). The highest point in New Jersey. There was in... Read More

Wow, what a good time!! Our score was three times better than last year. We had a nice opening on 6 meters and pretty good enhancement on the other bands. The 1296 rig let it's smoke out early so it had to be replaced with another that still had smo... Read More

This was my best September VHF QSO Party ever from EN91 in Ohio. Once again, I was running QRP with a Yaesu FT-817 at 5 watts into a MFJ dipole at 25 feet on 6M and 2M. I was able to work stations from Texas to Florida on 6M during a brief E's opening ... Read More

  • Here is my three-element Two Meter Yagi with the park's monument in the background. I used this same antenna on 432 MHz also with very good results. The driven element of the antenna is a third harmonic for 432 MHz and the antenna acts like a dipole on the band.

I went to my usual hilltop location in central Long Island in FN30 in the single operator QRP portable category. We had a minor setback when the wires to the key were accidently severed when one of the radio fell down. I was able to make emergency rep... Read More

Worked 14 grids into 40 ... Read More

With family and work schedules, dont have the time to spend on a long detailed write up this time. Suffice it to say that conditions were reasonable and that the station was working well after replacing all of the rotor loops and doing quite a bit of ... Read More
