FCC RFI Information

The FCC has on-line information to help amateurs and consumers deal with interference problems. The Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau prepares this information.  Some important links to the FCC's information include:

The FCC Consumer Facts Interference Bulletin provides general information related to a variety of interference issues. 

To file a consumer complaint for telephone related issues, see FCC Consumer Complaint Form 475. Also see the CIB Telephone and Interference Bulletin CIB-10 for additional FCC information on telephone interference. 

For interference to radios, see the FCC "What Can I Do About Interference to My Radio" page.

For interference to TVs (antenna and cable), see the FCC "What Can I Do About Interference to My Television" page.

Although no longer avalable from the FCC, and some references to analog televsion and manufacturers are now obsolete, the CIB Interference Handbook nonetheless gives the FCC perspective on most types of interference problems. It serves as a general reference with basic information on a variety of RFI issues. Included is a list of equipment manufacturers who provide specific assistance with interference problems. The list also is available through the Commission's Fax on Demand at (202) 418-2830. Callers should request document number 6904.
