2008 SSCW was a blast. WOW was there a lot of activity. Lee WW2DX and I decided to do a Multi-op for the test. Lee WW2DX entered his first SS contest and he operated like a pro. Conditions were great! Elecraft K3 #1965 arrived just in time for the test... Read More

  • Newly cleared area around the antennas and shack. The vertical to the left is for 160, although it was pressed into 80M service during SS. 80M dipole supported on the AB-621 and a 40M Delta loop barely visible to the right of the shack.

with that: 1974 (age 13). Spent my time S&P for multipliers.
Got to the magnetic 75! Only US mult missed is NNY. Heard a
    couple ... Read More

Had a great time multi-opping as KB9IQR. It always fun to operate out of EN67. Being a rare grid makes it even more fun. However, sometimes the "locals" can be a burden! See the photo...

I have been off the air for a couple of years while changing jobs and qth. So, this year I am in a new house, and have the shack settled in upstairs. I live in a subdivision with CC&R antenna restrictions, but a few months ago I installed my R7 vertica... Read More

I went into town to pick up a small "Celebration Pizza" right after making a Clean Sweep, and in the parking lot decided to call my longtime buddy W6SC (who lives not far from the pizza place) to see if he had made a Sweep yet. When Jim said he had, I ... Read More
