    Hi All,

What a great night of fun running CW. I hope that the SKCC keeps on making straight key night every night. We had a blast and will keep having fun for the whole year. See you all on the air and at the next SKN.

Fired up my old hb 2 tube QRP rig and made a few QSO's with 3W, then decided to try out the Tuna Tin 2, and made a few more QSO's. A lot of fun reminded me of my days as KN1VKW and K1VKW, back in the 60ies. Used my old novice keys. Read More

Its now a tradition for me to work SKN to start the year off right. In my 29 years of hamming, Ive worked many modes from SSB to High Speed Meteor Scatter but the plan ole CW has a charm that cannot be beat.

  • Hey, this picture looks like last years! But instead of my Uncle's J-38, it's a brand new RJ-1. It is nice having a skirted Navy knob!

Once again SKN was a fun event. I know that my Great Uncle, Sammie Miller (W3CP-sk) was smiling from heaven since I was using his key once again for the SKN. I inherited his "Key and Plug Assembly No 9" J37 key. This key was part of a radio set that ... Read More

Lots of fun from up here at 64N in the Canadian Arctic. I could
    hear lots on 40 m and 20 m, and some on 30 m. Managed a few contacts
from here from under the Aurora. The longest was 3360 klicks from
    here to AZ.

I have participated in SKN several times in the past making a few contacts each time. This year I made 16 contacts in 12 states on 80, 40 and 20 meters. Most were of the rag chew variety and very interesting.
The bands were so crowded I had to abandon... Read More
