This was my first time in a contest. Man was it hard, and fun. You do not realize just how much it takes out of you until its over. After its over, you have to get your brain to settle down and think of something besides letters, numbers, and your call s... Read More

    12/19/2002 | ON5ZO

Ever since I closed the log of the 2001 edition I was looking forward to this year's ARRL 10m contest. I planned a bit more serious effort than last year's casual 'bandsweeping'.

Due to circumstances I don't have a real fixed mast and big antennas at t... Read More

This year I started out well and equalled the best score I've ever
amassed at the half way point. I pretty much stuck to my game plan
    and the bands cooperated.

Now, Sunday... well it wasn't pretty. In fact, it was a struggle.

    12/18/2002 | KB1FWN

This contest was a learning experience for those at KB1FWN/KB1FWM. It started off as a grueling multi operator event. I started off first, with reassurance that my father Tom, KB1FWM, would take my place in a few hours. And to relieve him would be L... Read More

I found this session of the ARRL SS phone contest to be very enjoyable.
The bands were all in good shape and this allowed me to make a clean sweep in just over 8 hours. Lots of high numbered checks so it looks like the newer ops are also in the contest... Read More

    12/18/2002 | W4FAL

I enjoyed this contest. I unfortunately had a lot of pre-Christmas activities going on and didn't get to participate for very long on the 14th and none on the 15th.

Better luck next year and a higher score.
