The JSC Amateur Radio Club primarily supports NASA activities, such as supporting ARISS and ground-based educational programs, assisting local or distant schools participating in armateur radio contacts with International Space Station (ISS), providing emergency back-up communications with the ISS, providing support to the Johnson Space Center emergency operations center (EOC, Building 30), and assisting in training astronauts on the use of ISS amateur radio hardware.  The Club's weekly information net (open to all) is held on Tuesday at 7 PM local on the W5RRR repeater (output 146.64 MHz/ input 146.04 MHz with a tone of 123.0 Hz)
