ARES
The Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) consists of trained radio amateurs who provide public service communications when disaster strikes. Amateur Radio volunteers also serve the Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES), National Traffic System (NTS) and other organizations.
