The Collins Amateur Radio Club (CARC) has been a stable group for over 30 years, residing on the Richardson campus of the Collins Radio / Rockwell Collins / Collins Aerospace corporate organization. 

Our purpose is to further the following goals: 

• Offer a focal point for Collins employees, retirees and others to advance their education and skills in amateur radio communications 
• Develop interest in amateur radio through work with other organizations both within and external to the corporation 
• Provide modern amateur radio communications facilities for use by CARC members 
• Provide emergency communications as needed for the surrounding community 
• Maintain radio relay capability to further the integration of broad communications capabilities locally and around the world 
• Advance the state of the art through the exchange of information provided by the varied expertise of members 
• Conduct club programs and activities to advance a general interest in amateur radio within the company and the community 

While our club membership consists primarily of Collins employees and retirees, we offer associate memberships for others in the area, as well as memberships for interested dependents of members. 

The Club's VE Team conducts ARRL VE Test Sessions following the monthly Club meeting in Conference Room A at the hospital (starting at approximately 7:30 p.m.).  See the Club's website for additional details.
