The Tukwila Emergency Comm Team is a group of volunteers living or working in Tukwila, WA.  This city of 19,000 residents enjoys a surge of population up to 250,000 each day with our rich industrial, retail and aviation services.  This daily population explosion creates unique challenges for a small town and its Emergency Management department.  This club serves that department and enjoys a meaningful partnership.  This is the only City in the USA in which every fire fighter is a licensed Ham, all the way up to the Chief.  Every fire department vehicle has a Ham radio in it and all of the personnel are familiar with how to use it.  We're now branching out to license the Police Department and other City employees.
