I thought I would drop you a quick note - - the best antenna that I built a number of years ago was a 10 meter mono-band Yagi, 3 elements, 12 foot boom from the details and plans provided in the 1974 ARRL Antenna Handbook.

When 10 meters was open, it worked great with my Kenwood TS-520, 200 watt rig.

Later I added a Hy-Gain TH3 Thunderbird, which I still have, but have it stored since I lost my Patio space for the tower.

Currently I am experimenting with a two-wire Yagi on 17 meters - just not sure it was build correctly - picked up the idea from the QST article by Marcus Hansen, VE7CA.

I think you will enjoy experimenting.
