Welcome to the San Diego Section!

    1) If you are interested in earning your Entry Level Amateur Radio License, Please e-mail me at ad6vi@arrl.org.
    2) If you are already licensed, please join our Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) Program, which meets the 2nd Saturday of each month at Scripps Memorial Hospital Campus, Schaetzel Building, Nobel Room at 8:00 AM 9890 Genesee Ave La Jolla, CA 92037. Parking is $4.

Field Day 2009 is upon us.
For those of you that are new to Field Day, it is a 24 Hour exercise that begins at 11:00 AM this Saturday morning (July 27th) and continues through Sunday morning until 11:00 AM.
For those that have never been on HF, this is your chance, as many of the public sites feature a GOTA or Get-On-The-Air station, where you (licensed or not) can operate under the supervision of a veteran HF control operator.

Below is a list of known public Field Day sites from arrl.org and local internet sites.
If you can find the time please visit one or more.

    Thanks,

    Steve Early, AD6VI
