I would like to take a moment to thank Bob Craven, N7GTE, Randy Cooper, and Karen Madsen from the State RACES and Homeland Security Division for the work they did to organize and prepare the CSEPP ARES/RACES Conference on 03 November. The presentations were very informative and gave us all good information to use to improve our skills as Emergency Communicators. Randy Cooper gave an update on the CSEPP program, John Hayes, K7VE, gave a very informative presentation on D-STAR, Pat Malan, N6VLU, and Charles Grey, KE6QZU gave a very thought provoking presentation about the Loma Prieta Earth Quake of 1989. If you missed this event this year please put down the first Saturday of November 2008 for the conference date next year.

Please continue to invite the members of your organizations to join ARRL and have you clubs affiliate with ARRL.
