The Lamorinda Area Radio Interest Group, also known by its FCC call sign, K6ORI, is an amateur radio club serving as a volunteer emergency communications team based in the San Francisco East Bay region in Contra Costa County, California. Community members from Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, and Canyon have organized a radio auxiliary team serving these communities.

Anyone in the community with an interest in emergency communications is welcome to participate in our meetings, training, and drills. Trained and qualified volunteers are always of value in times of distress. We also help interested individuals earn an amateur radio license.

We run a weekly net on Wednesday evenings starting at 7:30 PM, except when we have a club meeting. The VHF portion uses the Contra Costa Repeater Association's repeaters with their permission on 145.490 MHz with a negative offset, and PL tone 107.2 Hz. The UHF portion follows on LARIG's repeaters on 440.975 with a positive offset.

We also meet informally every week on Tuesdays at 9:30 AM outside the Cafe Teatro below the Orinda Public Library, where topics of discussion are wide-ranging. Come pull up a chair and join us!
