The Las Moras Amateur Radio Club is located in Kinney County Texas and has the call sign of AA5KC. This club was established in 2014 and has 25 members as of January 2020. The club meets on the third Thursday of each month at Fort Clark Springs Adult Center in Brackettville, Texas. 

We sponsor Tech, General and CW classes each year as well as support for Fort Clark Days the first week of March.  We also provide a demo for the annual JOTA event and a field day is planned each year.

The club owns the 146.880 VHF repeater and the 443.725 UHF repeater located near Brackettville and we encourage its use.  The CTSCC for the VHF machine is 127.3 (+)and the CTCSS for the UHF machine is 100 (-). These repeaters have excellent coverage, extending as far as 40/50 miles.

We represent a small but active amateur radio organization in this southwestern Texas area and have active members from Brackettville, Fort Clark, Del Rio, Uvaldi and other surrounding towns.  Newcomers are welcome as guests at our monthly meetings and encouraged to join the club.  Since our meetings are held in a gated community, we ask that, if possible, you email us ahead of time at (ukepilot@yahoo.com) if you want to attend our meeting so that you can be admitted quickly and effortlessly.

A weekly net check-in is held every Sunday evening at 7:30 PM (19:30) on the repeater at 146.880 for news and announcements.
