SARA is the regular sponsor of the Shreveport-Bossier Hamfest (shreveporthamfest.com) scheduled for the second Saturday in August of each year at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds in Shreveport. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hamfest is suspended.
SARA provides logistic and emergency commiunications for the Krewe of Gemini Parade each Mardi Gras season; also for the Heart Of Hope LifeCycle Rally held each June and the.Miracle Tour bicycle rally benefiting Children's Miracle Network each October. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these events are all suspended.
SARA operates a Clubhouse at the Greenwood Flea Market grounds in Greenwood, LA. Members enjoy gathering the first Saturday morning of each month at 8:30AM for a "Ham & Coffee" breakfast. Guests are most welcome.
