The St. Charles Amateur Radio Club (SCARC) was organized by a small number of St. Louis area Hams in 1973. Some of the original charter members are still active in the club today. The Club boasts a list of nearly 120 members.

Over the past 46 years, SCARC members have gladly donated their time by providing reliable communications for many entertainment and charitable events. Examples include Celebrate St. Peters and the Cystic Fibrosis Ride For Life.

Members of SCARC are also trained weather spotters who provide observations to both the National Weather Service and the St. Charles County Department of Emergency Management  during times of severe weather.

SCARC provides Technician LIcensing classes in the Spring & Fall each year along with General & Amateur Extra Licensing and a Hands On Ham class rotating each year. For 2019, we have Tech & General in the Spring and Tech & Extra in the Fall.

SCARC provides VE Exams at monthly club meetings at 6:30 PM, 1 hour before the regular meeting.

Elmers and Mentors are available on meeting nights from 6:30-7:30 to help anyone with ham radio questions.

Anyone is welcome to attend our meetings, and anyone interested in amateur radio is welcome to join the club, whether currently licensed or not.
