The West Seattle Amateur Radio Club is your best-bet for social contact or technical assistance from the local hams in West Seattle. The club has a rich history stretching back to the 1930's. We offer weekly radio nets on three club repeaters using the club call of W7AW and hold monthly breakfasts in West Seattle.

Join us the Third Sunday each Month at 8:30am. at Be's Restaurant, 4509 California Ave SW. , Seattle, WA 98116 Parking behind off of 44th SW

Join us for the Elmer's Breakfast & Help Session the first Saturday each month at 8:30 am at Great Amercian Bar and Diner, 4752 California Ave SW, Seattle, 98116

The club offers licensing classes to become a ham radio operator. Classes and exams are available for anyone interested in joining our community. If you live or operate in the West Seattle area, or can get to West Seattle from where you live or operate, please join us.

The West Seattle Amateur Radio Club supports local community preparedness. Seattle's citizens should be preparing for a range of events from winter storms to serious earthquakes. Our members practice with local Hubs to relay information to and from the City of Seattle Emergency Operations Center. All members are encouraged to work with Seattle's Auxiliary Communications Service. Join us in helping West Seattle create a disaster resistant community.

While your grandfather might have been a member of the West Seattle ARC, he might not recognize us now.. We now utilize digital communications modes which allow worldwide communication using modest antennas with only 1 watt of power, or less. You can also use CW - Help Here:   Start in the FISTS CW folder - then the Start Here folder - then the README First file - Enjoy!
