Missing Callsigns in FCC ULS

Greetings, I was looking for a vanity call, preferable a 1x3 format. I noticed that there is no K7JJG or W7JJG in the FCC ULS, either in the granted licenses or the applications. There is a N7JJG already granted. Is there a problem either of these call signs? I finally settled for KB7JJG, but sure wanted the 1x3 :) John KB7JJG |

John - Most likely no problem. They were probably assigned at one time, but they expired some time in the past. The holder might be an ex-ham, an SK, or may have moved or upgraded. I think lots of 1x3's are like this. My original 1950's call sign was K5MXF. It's now unassigned and available to anyone with a suitable ticket, I suppose. 73 Martin AA6E |
