Drivers for Belkin Serial to USB Adapters

I recently changed to a 64 bit Windows 7 OS, and found that Belkin does not offer drivers compatible with that OS for their F5U109 / F5U409 adapters. After much searching I discovered that Staples sells a product that looks identical to the older Belkin product. Staples does support the 64 bit OS, and the drivers (provided by MCT) will successfully install in Windows 7 running a 64 bit OS. This allows older hardware and supporting software to use the USB interface, which is necessary now that most new computers no longer have serial ports using RS232 connectors. |
