I have a Yaesu FT-857D. I am using RT Systems programing software. I have roughly 100 repeater frequencies with offsets, PL tones, etc stored in the memory of the radio. Those repeaters exist in four different geographical areas, that I travel to frequently (roughly 25 in each of the 4 areas).

When scanning in a particular area I would like to be able to scan all or some of the repeaters in just the one area that I am in as opposed to the entire memory bank.

Can this be done? If so how?

You could set up a separate file for each area, and upload the file corresponding to your current location.
