I have discovered that my Dodge diesel, 2010, is radiating on a nearby repeater frequency, 146.790, whenever the ignition switch is on. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? My wife's Honda CRV, 2011, does the same thing.

Hi. There was a problem here years ago with a repeater on the same frequency. It had to do with a collar that was being used to track hunting dogs during training, and the fact that the repeater was using an ancient civil defense radio whose rx bandwidth was as wide as the Mississippi delta, and at that time wasn't using PL tone for access.

Can local hams (more than a few blocks away) hear the interfering signals on the repeater input frequency?
