Would a 65ft incandescent rope light work as a long wire, end fed, antenna? Possibly using the AC power cord as a feed line to an antenna tuner.

I've Googled and cannot find any trace of information on the subject.

I'm looking for an extra stealthy antenna design.

How about running a long wire antenna with insulators at both ends and then secure the rope lights to it?

Although your idea would make a "stealthy" antenna the mixing of an antenna and any kind of AC power electrical distribution is an extremely bad idea not to mention the violation of several National Electrical code rules. For you safety and that of others please do not attempt this.

Sorry, I guess I did not make it clear that my idea is NOT to connect the lights to the AC mains at all. The rope light AC feed line would only be terminated into a antenna tuner. The rope light is the antenna NEVER to be connected to an AC supply..
