November sweepstakes operating hrs question

Just wanting clarification since this will be the first contest I will really be participating in. On the ARRL web page is shows the dates/times of 2100 utc on saturday to 0259 on monday but when you click on the rules it brings up a document that says it starts 2100 utc saturday and ends 0300 sunday. Just wondering which is correct. Thanks |

The contest administration is in the USA, and UTC time is the standard time reference among the worldwide amateur radio community. When you convert 0259Z Monday to any of the time zones in the USA, the result is some time Sunday.afternoon or evening.prior to local midnight. As W1VT pointed out, the contest duration is 30 hours. |
