reflector under a dipole

I have been experimenting with a reflector under my multi band dipole, which is 5% longer than the antenna has anyone tried this and what was your results. I do use a tuner and feed line is 450 ohm ladder line but will be changing to home made 600 ohm shortly. all works great now but always wanting to improve. Thx John |

yes I have used a wire on the ground, It did increase the range about 25%.. Best result was wet ditch with a nvis antenna increased the range from 300 miles to 400 miles. that's about 30% increase. K5XBP |
