How power a Yaesu FT-65 handheld DIRECTLY from a battery?

Does anyone know how to power a Yaesu FT-65 handheld DIRECTLY from a battery instead of using a battery and a DC-AC INVERTER? OR- Can it not be done? Thanks- Peter K6PAA |

Unless you are willing to go in and rewire the radio, it can't be done. Many radios have a connector for DC power but the FT-65 does not. Zak W1VT ARRL Senior Lab Engineer |
