High SWR on all bands

I have a problem with my Cushcraft R7… I replaced the matchbox and I still have high SWR on all bands.. checked the coaxial cable, and antenna ground, coaxial cable is not shorted…took the antenna down and checked all traps ok … any ideas would be appreciated… thanks!!!! I am off the air!!!

You may want to contact your ARRL Section manager to see if there is someone who can look at your antenna.

I had the same problem with R-8. I did everything you did as well and could not figure it out.. I got frustrated and took it down and ordered a different antenna,

Multiband ground independent verticals are complicated antennas that may not be the best option for a beginner. EFHW antennas are popular because of their relatively simplicity while offering multiband coverage.
