I have a Kenwoodd TS-530S and I have moved to a new location. I would like to get an indoor antenna that covers all the bands. Anybody know what I should get?

Thanks,

Howie

Hi Howie,

Have a look at my reply to K7NSW on Nov 3rd under the topic

wire size - QRO horizontal loop

This will give you some ideas which I have used myself and many internet urls. There are also some articles on the ARRL web site under TIS. Search for apartment antennas.

Because of the design of your transceiver, the TS530. You can use the tune and load contols to load up a random wire antenna. You should however reduce the drive level. I once had a flashover when using a random wire antenna on 80m. It was only 20 ft in total length and the counterpoise was also very short. I was trying to work some stations back home about 80 miles away. As always remember the hazards and potential interference issues.
