tuning the yaesu ft 450d with an externil tuner

I just bought the yaesu ft450d. I have not gotten it as of yet but I was wondering how I would tune it with the MFJ 949E. I have used this tuner on my Kenwood but I have not found any information on tuning the 45d without the internal tuner |

Most radios that have internal tuners can be operated with the internal tuner shut of or "straight through". You would use the MFJ 949 manual tuner in the same way you would with a radio without an internal tuner.
