I hope to place a mobile HF\VHF\UHF transceiver in my automobile. I also will procure antennas to transmit on 75 thru 144 meters. Please be so kind as to advise if RFI will damage my laptop computer. I know that police and other emergency vehicles have laptops in their vehicles but operate only UHF. Your kind help on this question will greatly be appreciated! 73 Gary |

I doubt that any actual damage would occur... the jarring of the vehicle poses a greater threat, in my opinion. But 100 watts on any frequency has the potential to interfere with a computer's operation. If it were me, I'd give it a try, starting with lower power first (10 or 20 watts?) and work up to full power. |
