I have two problems with my Kenwood TS940. The first problem is that I have followed the instructions meticulously and have not figured out how to zero beat the thing.

Item 2: I can use the autotuner with the power set to minimum and it will tune. I then flip on the receiver and there is a big dogfight heading my way for tuning up on the air. One guy had made s-meter measurements and he had me nailed. My question is this: Can I insert an attenuator between the rig and the line and let it tune at a reduced power level? Is there another work around for this problematic honey of a rig?
